And The Winner Is.....

Dallin!

We are so proud of Dallin. He entered the Idaho Falls Earh Day Poster Contest and WON! This awesome kid won himself a $25 prize and another $25 for his class to do something fun with! Congratulations, Dallin. We think you ROCK!
You can check out the list of winners at THIS LINK!
Speaking of contests, he also won a coloring contest the fire department did at his school about 2 months ago as well. He was the only winner out of the entire school. He must have a knack for this art stuff! Way to go, buddy!

I Almost Don't Believe It Myself!

Ok, I didn't take a picture this time, but just imagine this:

4 Bottles of Snuggle Fabric Softener (32 load size)
2 Bottles of All Liquid Laundry Detergent (32 load size)
6 Stove Top Stuffing Boxes
1 Bottle A1 Steak Sauce (We all know how expensive that is)
3 Packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
3 Containers of Cool Whip
2 Bertolli Oven Bake Dinners (Those run $6 a piece)

What would you say I paid for these things????

Would you really believe I paid a total of $8.35 for all of that????

Believe it!

That makes everything (divided evenly) about .38 cents!

Easter!

Dallin woke us up at 7 a.m. to see if the Easter Bunny had come. Lucky for him he had! The boys got their treats and gifts and were so excited. Dallin got the new Didj game system and a Star Wars game to go with it. Drew got an Imaginext Dinosaur play set and a car thing to play with.
After playing with the toys and eating CANDY for breakfast, we went to search for the eggs the Bunny had hidden outside.
It was a beautiful day, so bright and sunny. I couldn't help but think of the Resurrection and think that it must have been this beautiful on that day too. Sunshine brings me joy and it made me think about how grateful I am for the Savior and his sacrifice for me and the same joy and blessings that the gospel brings me.
Anyway, after church we had our friends Amy and Trevor over for a big Easter dinner. I made a yummy ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, frog eye salad, veggies and a home made carrot cake for dessert. It was a sucess and we all ate until we couldn't take another bite! A couple of our neighbors stopped by to hang out for a little while too, and it was great having such good friends and neighbors with us. It was a great day!

Coloring Eggs

We had lots of fun Saturday coloring easter eggs. Dad actually got in on this one and the boys had lots of fun with him. We decided this one was our favorite egg.

We also took the boys and Dallin's friend Chance to an egg hunt, which was INSANE! There is only ONE egg hunt in all of Idaho Falls and that made it so that the kids had to fight to get an egg and none of them were able to get one. It was a complete failure so we took them to this awesome little candy shop up the street from us and let them pick out a treat as a consolation for the lame egg hunt we took them to. I think that made them happy. Who doesn't like a store full of candy?

30 Minute Project

I went to this great home fabric store the other day and picked out my fabric to make these fun door and kitchen window treatments. They took me about 30 minutes a piece and gave me INSTANT GRATIFICATION! I love projects like that where you get results fast. What's even better is that I paid about $12.50 TOTAL for BOTH and I already had rods that we weren't using. Anyway, I was proud of them so I thought I'd show 'em off. I don't do enough of this kind of thing. Hope you like!

Game Boys

Just a couple of pictures of the boys playing a game when my mom and sister came up to visit.....too bad I don't have any with me and Lindsey in them. Oh well. It was awesome having Lindsey here, I hardly get my sister here so it was a treat!

Cake Monster

So I woke up one morning to find Drew on my oven eating with his hands directly out of the cake pan! What a little gremlin, raiding the cake at the crack of dawn. It was messy, but so funny I couldn't help but take the picture.
