Dinner Club

So I started doing this dinner club with 3 other families in our ward and I am LOVING IT! It is only day 2, but we are just thrilled! We got together and figured out what day of the week each of us wanted to take, set some guidelines, exchanged dislikes, put together the menu and what time dinner will be delivered, and voila! We have dinner every night of the week delivered to our door except for when it's my day to cook, then I deliver dinner to the rest. We know exactly what is coming for dinner the whole month in advance. It makes the shopping easy and best of all, the rest of the days, I DON'T HAVE TO COOK! Plus, doesn't it always taste better when someone else cooks?? I sure think it does.
So, for all you other folks, I would totally recommend doing this. It is the best, and if you are like us, you won't be heading to the dollar menu at McDonalds every other night, he he....chunky Caldwells.

hmm, I would try it, but my whole vegetarian thing complicates the situation.
So you love it now, but I'm assuming you haven't had your turn yet to cook? It sounds like it would be hard to cook for 4 families.

That would be fabulous. Would you send me some recipes this way that you decide you really like. I might givr it a try, because I love to cook, just not EVERY night. Plus I always have a hard time figuring out what to make and give variety.

Ya know, not too much contact. Just a drop off every night.....I can handle people bringing food for 5 minutes. I am a major hermit as you know, I guess this is stepping out of my cave?!

Some of my friends do that and they love it! Ken is gone to much during the week for that to work for us. Maybe in the future!

Okay, so I love the MickeyD´s dollar menu too, so much easier than cooking. So how does this work exactly? Once a week you cook for your family and three others and the rest of the week you get meals from them? Wow, great idea! I agree that food always tastes better when cooked by someone else!
